Description

The Diary of an (ex?) Anxious Woman

If you find yourself wondering:

Illustration of a frightened blonde woman experiencing a panic attack. Overwhelmed by fear and anxiety, she symbolizes panic attacks, emotional distress, overthinking and loss of control.

  • Why does my heart suddenly start racing for no apparent reason?
  • Why do I always imagine the worst-case scenario?
  • Why do my own thoughts leave me feeling exhausted?
  • Will it always be like this?

If these questions sound familiar, this e-book might be exactly what you need.

Through 44 episodes inspired by my own journey, I share – with humour, self-irony and complete honesty – what it really means to live with anxiety. Panic attacks, catastrophic thinking, health anxiety, endless medical appointments and moments of despair. But also the insights, tools, encounters and small steps that gradually helped me find more peace and calm.

The book I wish I had had back then

I wrote this book in the way I wish it had existed when my anxiety first began. At the time, I was looking for simple answers. Something reassuring. Something that would not make me feel as though I needed a degree in psychology just to understand what was happening to me.

That is why I wrote the book I needed back then: honest, accessible, easy to read and full of hope—even on the days when you do not have the energy for complicated self-help books.

Together with my friend Quentin, I turned it into an illustrated story filled with images, metaphors, humour and short episodes that you can easily read on your smartphone.

Perhaps my story can save you a few detours

I cannot promise that a book will make your anxiety disappear.

But I can share what I only came to understand gradually: which thoughts and reactions intensified my anxiety, what helped me and how I found greater trust and freedom again, one step at a time.

So that you can feel less alone, better understand what is happening inside you and perhaps avoid some of the detours I took along the way.
